Dance class participants perform a seated dance in a gallery space

Dance for Wellbeing

An initiative of Belco Arts, the Dance for Wellbeing program provides regular dance classes for ACT communities with Parkinson’s, Dementia and other conditions. With a strong underpinning philosophy of accessibility and arts for all, Belco Arts continues to pioneer such programs across the ACT.

There is a growing body of medical evidence strongly validating the importance of exercise in the maintenance of our wellbeing – physically, cognitively and socially. Dance ticks all those boxes in one fun package!

The classes are led by a team of inspiring and experienced dance tutors, and family, carers and friends are welcome to participate in the weekly classes also.

To ensure full compliance with COVIDSafe requirements, we are required to implement a number of new strategies to ensure the safety of all. Class numbers are now strictly limited to ensure we observe one person per 4 square metre spacing in class. Thus all participants will need to register and pay in advance to attend a term of their selected class and avoid any contact with paperwork, cash, etc. You may register through the links below.
