Terms and Conditions
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:
- You may enter up to a maximum of three works. Separate entry forms must be completed for each work.
- Separate online entry forms must be completed for each work, complete with up to 4 x high resolution images of each work.
- No smaller than 1MB in size or larger than 3MB per image
- Preferred formats are .jpg or .png
- Artworks should be photographed from directly in front, in diffuse light, avoiding any shadows or reflections
- Logos in transparent .png or.eps format
- Each entry will be considered an individual work, NOT as a series.
- All entries will be reviewed from the digital images provided by the artist and a selection made.
- Belco Arts reserves the right not to exhibit works.
ARTWORK SPECIFICATIONS:
- The works must be the original work of the entering artist.
- The works must not have been seen in Canberra.
- The works must relate to the theme.
- The works may be in any medium and must be ready for exhibition.
- Each artwork must not exceed 100 x 100cm.
- Each artwork must not exceed 10kg in weight.
- If artworks are found to exceed these parameters on delivery, the work will not be included.
- All works must have the artist’s name and title of the work attached to the back.
- Selected works will need to be exhibited for the full duration of the exhibition.
- The works must not be offensive, discriminatory, or otherwise hurtful in nature. Works that are considered offensive, discriminatory, or otherwise hurtful in nature will not be displayed. Belco Arts reserves the right not to exhibit works.
FEES, JUDGING AND PRIZES:
- There is a $20 non-refundable entry administration fee per each work entered.
- All exhibited works will be eligible for selection in the People’s Choice Award, $500 that will be announced at the conclusion of the exhibition.
ARTWORK SALES:
- Artworks must be for sale. Please note that all works incur a 35% commission fee + GST
ARTWORK DELIVERY DETAILS:
- Artists are responsible for the transport of the work to and from Belconnen Arts Centre and cover all costs for any freight/ courier fees. All works that are needing to be returned will need to include return freight details and be paid for.
- Works may be delivered during business hours, by post or courier at any time and must be received by 4pm Sunday 30 November 2025. Works not delivered by this time will not be included.
COPYRIGHT & IMAGE REPRODUCTION:
Permission must be given to photograph the work for the inclusion in an online catalogue and in promotion of Belco Arts exhibitions and other activities.
