We are delighted to offer additional opportunities for artists to display individual, large-scale, wall-mounted works in our building. This program aims to support artists who work in a large-scale to share them with the public.
We have two locations for artists’ consideration; artists can nominate one location or seek to exhibit two works, one in each location. In addition, we will place the artworks online for sale and viewing.
The Theatre Foyer – a space that is only open to the public when there is live performance in The Theatre. This space will support works up to 4,000mm (width) x 2,000mm (height).
The Meeting Room – a room that is available for public hire. This space will support works up to 3,500mm (width) x (h) 1,500mm (height).
The placement of works will be determined by Belco Arts. Artworks will be displayed for a maximum of 3 months. If sold, we will enable the purchaser to collect prior to the conclusion of the agreed 3 month period.
We invite interested artists to submit:
- High resolution images of the work for consideration.
- An artist bio (100 words, in the third person)
- An artist artwork statement (100 words)
Artists are responsible for the transport of the work to and from Belconnen Arts Centre and cover all costs for any freight/ courier fees. There are no fees for submitting work. Permission must be given to photograph the work for inclusion on our website and in promotion of Belco Arts exhibitions and other activities. Artworks must be for sale. Please note that all works incur a 30% commission fee + GST.
All EOIs should be forwarded to Artistic Director & Co-CEO, Monika McInerney moni@belcoarts.com.au.
