About Tim Rogers

With a career now motoring along in its third unique decade, Tim Rogers remarkable resume encompasses the world of Music, Film, Television, Stage and Literature.

As the frontman of You Am I, one of the essential Australian rock n’ roll bands, guitarist and vocalist Tim Rogers along with band mates Russell Hopkinson on drums, Andy Kent on Bass, and (since 1999) Davey Lane on guitar, have released ten studio albums to date.  Three of these releases have debuted at number one on the ARIA charts in consecutive order – 1995’s “Hi Fi Way”, 1996’s “Hourly, Daily” and 1998’s “#4 Record – with the Albums also receiving multiple Platinum and Gold status for commercial sales. Recently You Am I released “Porridge and Hotsauce” in 2015 and last years live double album “All Onboard.”

In addition to success in Australia, You Am I have released a number of albums internationally, and toured worldwide headlining shows across North America and Europe.

Tim Rogers musical career has also produced side projects, collaborations and solo albums which include the release of his first solo album in 1999 (with backing band The Twin Set) “What Rhymes With Cars And Girls” Through the release ‘Spit Polish,” “Dirty Ron/Ghost Songs,” “My Better Half” (with Tex Perkins) Rogers Sings Rogerstein,” “ The Rules Of Attraction” (with the Bamboos) and 2017’s incredible “An Actor Repairs”

Whether as part of You Am I or as a solo artist since 1999, Tim Rogers has received 13 ARIA Awards, including Male Artist of the Year, Best Group, Best Independent Release and Album Of The Year.

In recent years Rogers’ talent has been turned to Stage and Screen – both big and small.  His first silver screen acting experience was a small cameo role in Jane Campion’s “Holy Smoke”,followed by a role in Michael Weisler short film “Hunter Finkelstein’.  In 2013 he was cast in a larger role in the musical/thriller film “The Boy Castaways.” And has hosted his very own cable TV show “Studio At The Memo”

2017 saw the release of Tim Rogers first book through Harper Collins, Detours, to critical acclaim and best seller status. Of which The Australian said: “A heartbreaking work off staggering honesty.” And The Guardian: “Authentic, beautiful, unusual, brave.”

Tines Of Stars Unfurled, released in early 2023, the companion record and bookend to Tim’s Debut 1999 record What Rhymes With Cars and Girls. It debuted at #4 in the ARIA charts and was seen as his strongest solo record in a over a decade.

Hailing from a mining town in WA, Tim Rogers has spent his considerable energy over these very memorable years, taking his talents to the world.  And now in his late 40’s and with a kit bag of experience and wisdom under his belt, has become a fully formed truly modern Australian icon.

About Cathy Diver

Cathy grew up in Tassie, before crossing the ditch to see what all the fuss was about. She has been living in Canberra and getting her mits into every band she can for several years, including Helena Pop and Azim Zain and his Lovely Bones.

Her latest single, ‘Elimatta Hotel’ marks Diver’s first release under the label she co-founded in 2020, Undine Records.

Since releasing her debut track in 2019 (‘Watertight’), Cathy has supported the likes of Julia Jacklin, Didirri, Fraser A. Gorman, Maddy Jane and Greta Stanley.

In an erstwhile guise she has toured with Tim Rogers (You Am I), supported Beth Orton (UK) and Bob Evans, as well as coming home with the National Live Music Awards’ ACT Live Voice of the Year for 2017 and 2018.
