With Mary Preece
11am-3pm Sunday 15 August 2021
$180 per person
Includes most materials. Bring a pair of scissors, a pair of secateurs, a drink, something for lunch and wear closed shoes.
Explore the sculptural possibilities of pods from Australian trees such as the Kurrajong, Illawarra Flame Tree and Waratah. You will learn how to prepare the pods, drill holes and then use coiling, stitching and twining techniques to create mixed media forms which focus on colour, shape and texture. Basic knowledge of coiling is useful, though not essential. You will create one or two podform sculptures during the workshop.
