Professional Development Sessions for IGNITE Artists
We are running four professional development opportunities for IGNITE artists this year in the run-up to an exhibition at Belco Arts at the end of the year. These sessions will include information about the submission process, talks from IGNITE artists who have successfully exhibited their work professionally, advice on sourcing and submitting funding applications and also on marketing.

Monika McInerney, Belco Arts’ Artistic Director and Co-CEO, will host a special curatorial session on the forthcoming (In)visible 2022 exhibition opportunity.
(In)visible aims to promote dialogue about the presence of disability in our lives and to create a positive alternative to the widespread negative images and understandings of what it means to live with disability; we are more than a medical diagnosis. We want to reshape our understanding of disability. (In)visible is an opportunity to show how disability informs part of the rich tapestry of human experience. A sense of shared identity and the face is used to re-imagine the representation of disability and create a positive, vibrant and visible presence.
This session will run in person in Workshop 1 and on Zoom.
