Garden & Maintenance volunteers assist with the day-to-day maintenance of Belco Arts and its surrounds. This includes assisting with minor repairs and fitting fixtures and other such duties associated with building and landscape maintenance. These vital tasks keep the facility looking fabulous and ensures that patrons are greeted with a tidy and well-maintained space where they can have an enjoyable and safe experience.


  • Aged 18+
  • Available for a three-hour shift once per week
  • A team player; must work well with others
  • Friendly and personable
  • Have suitable levels of strength, stamina and dexterity to fulfil required tasks (e.g. push a wheelbarrow, use a rake, etc)
  • Experience using tools and/or working outdoors viewed favourably

Volunteer spaces are limited and all volunteers are required to hold a free Working with Vulnerable People registration, which is available from Access Canberra.
