Exhibition: 4 December 2026 – 31 January 2027
ephemeral architecture explores the complex natural and synthetic systems of our world, making visible the intangible language of these often unseen structures. It considers how digital technology has become something both created by us and operating beyond us, forming vast invisible infrastructures that shape how we move through, see, and understand the world. Although artificial, these webs of information begin to mimic organic forms as we attempt to contextualise their scale. Like creeping mycelium, or reaching root systems, we yearn to humanise the machine – a silicon based life form.
Connections form between system diagrams, machine vision data, and biological formations, blurring the boundaries between organic and digital networks. Where, in this grey area, do we find the distinction between natural and unnatural?
