Celebrate Gungahlin Festival 2027
Gungahlin Town Square
Thank you for your interest in Celebrate Gungahlin 2027!
We’re thrilled by the incredible response from local performers and stallholders this year (2026), and we can’t wait to celebrate with you at Celebrate Gungahlin 2027.

Celebrate Gungahlin 2027 – Expression of Interest (EOI)
Celebrate Gungahlin is a community event that shines a light on the people, cultures, creativity and local businesses that make the Gungahlin region so special.
As we build toward a potential 2027 event, we’re inviting Expressions of Interest from individuals, groups, performers and businesses who are part of the Gungahlin region and want to be involved.
Our focus is on celebrating Gungahlin, its 18 suburbs, its communities, and the people who live, work, play, pray, practice and create here.
Who can Apply?
We welcome EOIs across a range of event opportunities:
Community & Information Stalls
Local groups, clubs, schools, and grassroots organisations representing Gungahlin’s diverse neighbourhoods. If you offer community-based programs, services or initiatives, we’d love to hear from you.
Cultural Groups & Community Networks
Multicultural organisations, language groups and cultural collectives are encouraged to apply to share stories, traditions, and community connections that reflect the diversity of the region.
Creative Makers & Artist Stalls
Artists, designers and independent makers are invited to showcase and/or sell original work including visual arts, textiles, ceramics, jewellery, prints and more. You can activate your market stall with interactive demonstrations.
Commercial Shops & Food Vendors
Local businesses offering quality food, beverages or retail products that contribute to a welcoming and inclusive festival atmosphere.
Please note: Stallholders must be fully self-sufficient. Power is limited on the site, and compact, self-contained setups are preferred- with gas etc.
Performers, Workshops & Demonstrations
We are seeking local performers and facilitators including:
- Community dance groups
- Music groups, bands and performers
- Cultural performances
- Interactive workshops
- Live demonstrations or participatory activities
This is an opportunity to share your practice, engage audiences and activate the festival in meaningful ways.
Local Business Participation (Hibberson Street Activation)
We encourage shopfronts and businesses along Hibberson Street to get involved through in-store activations, specials, pop-ups, deals or creative contributions that extend the festival experience into the heart of the town centre and Gungahlin Marketplace.
Our Approach
Celebrate Gungahlin is intentionally locally focused. Priority will be given to applicants who are based in, or have a strong connection to, the Gungahlin region.
While we aim to grow opportunities where possible, submitting an EOI ensures you are part of the process and considered as planning develops.
